Gullane, Early was inspired by one of those rare mornings along Gullane Beach in East Lothian, when the tide had quietly slipped away, the sand was untouched, and the first light softened everything it reached.

I didn't want to paint the beach exactly as it looked.

I wanted to paint what it felt like to be there.

That deep breath before the day begins.
The calm that lingers long after you've left the shore.

Created with layered washes of soft blue, warm sand, pale grey and textured whites, this original contemporary seascape is designed to bring light, space and a sense of stillness into your home.
